It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our fearless leader, mentor, and friend, Rad Larios. To know Rad was to know a force of nature—a shining light in our design community whose impact will be felt for generations.

Rad famously introduced herself to us by owning her vibrant spirit: "Yes, I’m a lot." She was a lot of personality, a lot of emotions, a lot of ambition, and a lot of adventure. But most importantly, as she told us, she was "a lot of laughter with a lot of love to give." That love radiated through everything she did.

Her dedication to the IIDA South Florida Chapter spanned over a decade, including 6 years of service on the board. As our president, Rad described her role as the "cheerleader in your corner." She cared deeply about the future of our chapter, prioritizing mentorship and succession planning to ensure those who followed her would succeed. She taught us that we are in this together. We will miss her boundless joy, her leadership, and her friendship. Rest in peace, Rad. You have left us with a better space because you were in it.
