The annual Black Women in Architecture Brunch will be taking place in Miami on September 20th. It is one of 15 simultaneous events along with in-person gatherings in Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, New Orleans, New York, Oakland, Seattle, and Washington DC, connecting over nearly 500 virtually across the US.

The Brunch is also a fundraiser for the BWA programs including the Desiree Cooper ARE Scholarship Fund. The fund currently provides scholarships for those who need financial assistance to complete the licensure process with a focus on Black women. To date, the fund has awarded 18 scholarships to exam candidates and 5 have achieved licensure.

This year’s event will include a brunch and a virtual keynote themed She Shapes Space: Designing Spaces Where We Flourish, highlighting wellness practices. Check out the schedule below:
